Birds of Lake Geneva
About 130 species of mostly aquatic birds have been counted on Lake Geneva. Some of these birds are sedentary while others migrate there during the winter. Well acclimatized, they became residents of the Lake Geneva basin and breed sometimes.
Many of these bird species, often ducks, are native to other continents and were introduced in the last century.
